• Contribution to the total GDP 0.9%.

• Present coconut land available in Sri Lanka – 454000 Hc.

• Bearing trees per Hectare – 160 nos.

• National average nuts per palm per year – 40-60 nos.

• Average no. of nuts produced per year –2.5-3 billions.

• Average domestic fresh nut consumption 2 Billion.

• Number of employees 835,000
