Category Assistant Manager
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends.
Devise development strategies for product categories.
Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.
Expand product categories.
Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory.
Able to develop budget and demand plan for category.
Foster trust relationships with stakeholders.
Engage in promotional activities of a product category.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, or related field.
Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles in FMCG industry.
Proficient in MS Office, Google workspace, and computer literacy.
Strong negotiation and good communication skills in English and Sinhala.
Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Creative problem-solving ability.
A strategic and analytical mind.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the FMCG Industry in the category management field.
